Parker Launches SCPSDI Pressure Switch with Flexible Installation and Smart Connectivity

Share:

Bielefeld, Germany, 26th August 2025, Parker Hannifin, a global leader in motion and control technologies, has introduced its latest innovation, the SCPSDI pressure switch, designed for tough and demanding industrial applications.

SCPSDI Pressure Switch: Easy Installation and High Flexibility

The new SCPSDI pressure switch has a smart design that makes installation simple, even in tight spaces. Its external-thread pressure port can rotate independently from the housing, while the housing itself can rotate up to 240°.

This gives engineers more freedom in mounting the device. For added durability, the internal-thread version uses stainless steel parts that contact the pressurized medium.

Its seal-free design allows it to work safely with aggressive and corrosive media.

User-Friendly Operation

The SCPSDI Pressure Switch is built for everyday use. It features a large beveled display that can rotate 180° for overhead installation, making it easy to read from a distance. A two-color indicator clearly shows switching status for quick checks.

The device is simple to set up and operate, thanks to menu navigation that follows the VDMA standard. Users can configure each output as normally open or normally closed, adjust switching pressures, delay times, hysteresis, and even use window functions.

Robust and Reliable Performance

The SCPSDI uses a long-lasting, maintenance-free measuring cell to ensure stable performance. The rugged metal housing has no moving seals, making it resistant to moisture, shock, and vibration—ideal for harsh industrial environments.

Connectivity and Output Options

The pressure switch offers great flexibility with its output choices:

  • Analogue output as current (0–20 mA or 4–20 mA) or voltage (0–10 V)
  • Integrated I/O-Link communication for modern automation systems
  • Versions with only switching outputs or with combined analogue + switching outputs

With pressure ranges from 4 bar to 600 bar, the SCPSDI is available in multiple versions to suit different applications, including industrial machinery, power generation, transportation, and off-road equipment.

Parker’s Commitment to Innovation

This launch is part of Parker’s ongoing expansion of its SensoControl controller family, with upcoming solutions also focusing on level measurement and temperature measurement.

“The SCPSDI shows Parker’s dedication to innovation and practical design,” said Konstantin Reichtner, Product Manager at Parker SensoControl. “Its mix of flexibility, strength, and smart connectivity makes it a valuable choice for a wide range of industries.”
